is-by.pro ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by HyperSpire Foundation, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and — most importantly — what we do not do with it.

Short version: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for any commercial or advertising purpose. Ever.

1. Information We Collect

1a. Information You Provide

  • GitHub OAuth data. When you log in via GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, GitHub user ID, and public profile information (such as display name and avatar URL) as provided by GitHub's OAuth API. We do not receive your email address or any private GitHub data unless you explicitly grant expanded scopes.
  • Profile information. Any profile details you choose to add on the Platform (bio, location, website, services, etc.).
  • Posts and content. Any posts, replies, direct messages, or other content you create on the Platform.

1b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Session cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie contains no personal data beyond a session identifier. It is discarded when you log out or your session expires.
  • Server logs. Our web server may log standard request information including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used solely for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical issues. They are not shared with third parties and are retained for no longer than 30 days.

1c. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not use advertising trackers, pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.
  • We do not collect payment information (the Platform is currently free to use).
  • We do not build behavioral profiles or interest graphs for advertising.
  • We do not use fingerprinting techniques to track you across websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Operate and provide the Platform's features (authentication, displaying your profile and posts, etc.);
  • Communicate with you about your account when necessary (e.g., security notices);
  • Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and security threats;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose not described in this Policy.

3. We Do Not Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, license, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party, with the following narrow exceptions:

  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required to do so by a valid court order, subpoena, search warrant, or other binding legal process. We will notify you of such a request to the extent permitted by law before complying.
  • Safety. We may disclose information where necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person or to report illegal activity (such as CSAM) to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
  • Successor entities. In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change in ownership via a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days in advance.

In no event do we share your data with advertisers, data brokers, marketing networks, or any commercial third party.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a MySQL database on servers controlled by HyperSpire Foundation. All connections to the Platform are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access. You may view all profile information and content associated with your account by visiting your profile page.
  • Correction. You may update your profile information at any time via the edit-profile page.
  • Deletion. You may delete your posts at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
  • Portability. You may request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format by contacting us.
  • Opt-out of server logs. Server log retention cannot be disabled while you use the Platform, as they are necessary for security. You may stop using the Platform to prevent further log collection.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. Contact us to exercise those rights.

6. Cookies

We use only one first-party session cookie, which is strictly necessary to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging into the Platform.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and associated data. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to external websites or services (e.g., GitHub profiles). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes by posting a prominent notice on the Platform. The updated policy will be identified by a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
